IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER AT THE TIME OF DESIGNING, CONSTRUCTING AND CHECKING OF ‘FORM WORK’ AT SITE

 formwork is a very important part of construction process and to take care of the checking and construction of is is very important aspect, so here are some small quick guide to remember at the time of working at site and checking the formwork of the structure.

1. Bar bending schedule as per drawing and approval from consultant.

2. Joint records are to be maintained with client / consultant’s engineer if there is Any deviation from the schedule.

3. Confirming whether steel is tested / none tested with proper trace ability.

4. Check bar diameter /nos. / spacing etc. Are to be done properly as per bar bending Schedule.

5. Proper cutting, bending at the yard so as to reduce scrap.

6. Chairs, pins to be provided as per drawing / details.

7. Lap length, cover etc. Are to be done properly as per bar bending schedule / as per Drawing.

8. Proper alignment of existing dowels when bars are connected to it.

9. checking of tied up reinforcement by consultant / client’s engineer. Proceeding With concreting.
